about

Gonna keep recording more lyrical stuff under my own name but Zevende Klasse is about my favourite sounds and about collaboration (and my collaborators' favourite sounds). This album is just me and my synths though. The earliest pieces I recorded in 2010 and the most recent I recorded yesterday. I've tried to arrange them into a sort of narrative. The most direct influences on these pieces and how I've compiled them are Jonathan Michell's "Mojave Night", Harold Budd's "The Serpent (In Quicksilver)", and Disasterpiece's soundtracks for Fez and Hyper Light Drifter.

It's called Pianola Roll because I've been playing piano since I was 4, and the sounds here are electronic as hell but I feel like you can still hear my ghostly hands moving around.
